The itinerary includes 8 nights of accommodation, covering city hotels and high-altitude campsites. City hotels are of a comfortable standard, providing a good resting environment. For high-altitude campsites, we will provide tents, sleeping pads, and other public equipment to ensure a relatively comfortable rest even in the wilderness. Regarding dining, city meals will be at local restaurants, while on the mountain, we will provide breakfast and dinner at the campsite, along with packed lunches. We strive to offer diverse meals and can accommodate special dietary needs (e.g., vegetarian, allergies). Please inform us in advance when booking so we can make adequate preparations.

Your safety is our top priority. We assign one professional guide and assistant for every four participants to closely monitor their condition throughout the trip. All guides possess extensive outdoor experience and professional first-aid skills (e.g., WFR certification). Communication devices such as satellite phones and walkie-talkies are provided to ensure internal and external contact in emergencies. We also purchase professional outdoor trekking accident insurance for each participant. For high-altitude risks, guides strictly implement altitude sickness prevention measures and are equipped with emergency oxygen and first-aid medicines. In case of an emergency, we will activate a comprehensive evacuation plan to ensure you receive timely and effective assistance.

What personal equipment do I need to prepare? Is equipment rental available?

For your comfort and safety, we recommend preparing the following personal equipment: high-top waterproof hiking boots, waterproof jacket and trousers, warm clothing (down jacket/fleece), quick-drying shirts and pants, trekking poles, headlamp, sun protection (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen), personal toiletries, insulated water bottle, and a small backpack (for daily hiking). Public equipment such as 150L duffel bags, tents, and sleeping pads are included in the cost. Currently, we do not offer personal equipment rental services, so we recommend you prepare or purchase them in advance. During these periods, the weather is relatively stable, with less precipitation and high visibility, making it ideal for enjoying the Gongga scenery. While vegetation is lush in summer (July-August), heavy rainfall may affect the trekking experience. Winter (December-March) may bring heavy snow and extreme cold. If adverse weather (e.g., heavy snow, torrential rain) occurs during the trip, the guide will adjust the itinerary or activate alternative plans while prioritizing safety. In extreme cases, parts of the itinerary or the entire trek may be canceled to ensure the safety of all participants. Our Gongga trekking product warmly welcomes solo travelers. You will not be charged an additional single supplement fee; we will arrange for you to share a room (city hotel) or a tent (high-altitude campsite) with a same-gender participant. If you prefer private accommodation, please inform us in advance, and we will arrange it based on availability and advise you of any potential additional costs. The recommended team size for this itinerary is 2-8 people. A small group ensures better service quality and trekking experience, allowing each participant to receive ample attention and guidance from the guide.
